MAHILA JAGARAN KENDRA has been working to abolish VAW and gender discrimination since 1992. It is an organisation led by women and for the women and Children. It’s working on socio-economic empowerment of women, protection of women and human rights, child development, and environmental conservation.
Time to time, training for PRI members, Advocates, Police officials, AWW and other stakeholders will be undertaken to enhance their capacity regarding different types of women related laws, constitutional rights and how to apply. Youth are trained as change makers who will in their turn aware and motivate people regarding gender sensitive issues.
We conduct evidence based research and prepare report for advocacy with the government and peoples representative. For the purpose of assessment also time to time study is undertaken.
Mahila Jagran Kendra aims to build an equitable relationship of strength, sustenance and dignity between the cities and villages using the under-utilized urban material as a tool to trigger development with dignity, across the country.
